形态描述：直立草本，高约1米；小枝密被柔毛。叶卵形或卵状披针形，顶端渐尖，基部阔楔尖，近全缘或中部以上有不明显的圆齿，长5-10厘米，宽2-4.3厘米，薄纸质，干时褐黄色，两面被柔毛，毛在背面较密，多节毛基部银白色；叶柄扁圆形，通常0.5-1（-2)厘米，有纵条纹，被茸毛。聚伞花序顶生和侧生于枝顶，密被柔毛；苞片2枚或有时3枚，卵形或近椭圆形，不等大，大的长1.5-2厘米，宽0.8-1厘米，顶端渐尖，基部多少心形，小的比大的约小1/6-1/5，均被稍长的柔毛和缘毛；小苞片长2-2.5毫米；萼长4-5毫米，裂片长约3-3.5豪米，渐尖，被柔毛；花冠长3.8-4.5厘米，被倒生柔毛，冠管宽约1.5毫米，上唇阔椭圆形，下唇狭长圆形；花丝被柔毛。蒴果长1.4厘米左右，被柔毛；种子未见。花期7-8月。
